Hi, I’m Shaina Mayes, the heart and hands behind Ausdauer Australian Shepherds.
My love for dogs started young, but my passion for Aussies took off when I got my first at 17. One quickly turned into three, and from there, I was hooked.
They say Aussies are like potato chips—you can’t have just one!
From the beginning, I knew I wanted to be deeply involved with the breed, but I also knew there was so much to learn.
I spent years studying pedigrees, structure, and health—working to build a foundation based on knowledge, experience, and careful planning.
When I was ready to take that next step, I made sure my program started with a strong, well-thought-out beginning.
With a molecular biology degree, I bring a strong understanding of genetics to my breeding decisions—ensuring every litter is thoughtfully planned with the breed’s future in mind.
Whether in the show ring, on the field, or as beloved companions, my goal is to produce well-rounded, exceptional Aussies that stay true to their heritage.
